The Tile Mate is a small plastic tag built for daily carry, with a water-resistant IP67 rating and a sealed lithium battery rated for up to three years of use. It measures 1.49 by 1.49 by 0.28 inches and weighs 1.4 ounces.

Clipped to a keyring or dropped into a bag, it pairs with the free Tile app on iOS and Android. Within roughly 250 ft, or 76 m, of Bluetooth range, the app rings the tag. Past that, the app shows the last recorded position on a map. A double press of the tag rings a silenced phone, and the Tile Network can flag the item if another member passes it. Alexa, Google and Siri commands are supported.

Attaching the Tile Mate works best when it goes somewhere it will stay put, such as a keyring loop, a luggage zipper pull, or a backpack's internal clip point.
